Wisdom Call is the brain child of Christian Liljegren, the vocalist of Narnia. Joining him is Andreas Johansson, Narnia's drummer and two members of the legendary Swedish power metal band Stormwind. With an all star cast and a label contract from Massacre Records you'd think this would be one incredible release...and you'd be right.

This album is so for the Narnia fans who always wanted Narnia to speed things up just a bit. It's super technical and well thought out music. Packaged with an insert that is of the highest quality this is another one of the CDs that you would proudly put in the hands of a non-Christian and know they were getting the absolute best quality material you could give them. This CD is fantastic, not only do they pull off so many great songs of their own they throw out a cover of Europe's 'Wings of Tomorrow' and '15 Years' and 'Time' by Modest Attraction. (Modest Attraction is an old band that Christian was in, they played 70's influenced hard rock material so these covers are interesting.) 'Hold On To the Truth' is the ballad of the album, me I'm not a ballad fan so I usually skip this track. If you like ballads check it out and decide for yourself.

I guess my only complaint is the lyrics of the very first song on the disc entitled 'Power From The Sky' which just come off as cheesy. It's hard to take a song seriously when the words are:

We love to play power metal from the sky
see the audience is shouting and banging their heads tonight

It's a small point but being as this is the OPENING track it kind of sets the stage for how you prejudge the rest of the CD. Now musically it's a killer song but the lyrics are tough to get past.

Narnia fans you're gonna love this. If you are like me and weren't all that crazy about Narnia but thought they'd be really good if they were faster and heavier, then you're gonna love this as well. So worth checking out.

HM Magazine #96Reviewed by Matt MorrowWisdom Call, which consists of members from the bands Narnia and Stormwind, has released their debut album full of 80s styled power metal. The biggest influence you'll probably notice is Narnia, because their lead singer, Christian Liljegren, is the singer here. I personally like Narnia better, but Wisdom Call, who has signed with Massacre Records, is no slouch either. The production is not as…Art for the Ears 2001Reviewed by Marco Povervest"Energy is running through my veins," so singer Christian Liljegren points out on the opening song of Wisdom Call's debut album. You can imagine that this song, Power From The Sky, is just that: Energy running through your veins. You can sense the adrenaline rushing through your veins. It's a fast song, energetic and heavy. Wisdom Call is Christian's side project that he does besides singing for…
