Andy Lyon, former co-writer with Angelica's Dennis Cameron, is doing his own stuff now along the same clean melodic lines as in the past. Tunes like "Little By Little" and "Don't Give Up On Love" show an understanding of what works in commercial/melodic hard rock/pop metal: lots of skillful lead playing and great hooks for the chorus, so it stays in your brain after it's over. That means that fans of .38 Special (in their heyday) and Angelica will love this stuff. Andy shows great potential. This material is superior to most custom releases I hear, yet still has a ways to go before reaching the fore-mentioned comparisons. A smart producer could put Andy's voice in millions of ears across the planet. Lyrically, this material is very crossover-oriented, with moral references to girls being the chief subject...although the tune "Stay The Night" could raise an eyebrow or two.
