Well let's start by saying Bride has transformed yet again in their new disk Fist Full of Bees. I don't know why and I don't know how, they just did. They transformed...well tried to transform into a rap-core band. It didn't work out too well. I did think the music was good and the production was great, but for a rap-core band to attempt what they did is a little too much. I don't totally know how to describe this band's new album, but I will tell you it is not that great. The band throws around a Limp Bizkit style and also does an Alice In Chains and Black Sabbath thing. Now could you see Jerry Cantrell or Ozzy rappin... NO! I couldn't! I would say why is that guy with the hair acting like that! This singer tries so hard for that MC thing that he is kinda scary.

The music is great and is along the line of the bands mentioned above with a little Beastie Boyish flavor. It is hard to say exactly what this band is all about, but the message is great. They know the word and use it well. This band has no FLUFF message. They are for real and should not be taken lightly. They got a great band, but I personally think they should stick to that modern rock thing. It suited them better and sounded fine. I liked track one. It sounds great and is really good.

I would hope this band would transform again back into their old selves. It worked for them. This album is decent, not totally amazing, but ok. Check this disk out at your local Christian bookstore and listen to it.

HM Magazine #88Reviewed by Doug Van PeltIt seems Bride always finds itself fighting through a transition of sorts. This album, the band's 10th studio effort, showcases a band that is, perhaps, fighting for its very survival. Can they make a relevant musical statement? Will they please or lose their old school fans? How much this band can change has always been a tension that it's had to weather. It looks like producer Plinky Giglio…The Phantom Tollbooth 2001Reviewed by Brian A. SmithBride, a pioneer among early Christian metal bands, has returned with their tenth album, Fist Full of Bees. The group here portrays a lost generation of youth relying on drugs, gangs, or the comforts of the opposite sex, and pointing out their need for Jesus. "Too Tired" opens the album, and is a rap metal tune that recalls Faith No More. "White House" presents a prisoner in jail, and contrasts…
