Translated from the original French
This blond Swedish trio offers us two new songs: it is new material, real CHARIZMA. Energy, melody, keyboards, and plenty of harmony. "Feels Like Heaven" is a good piece of hard FM: it swings well, the vocals are very present (the back-ups are nicely brought into relief), the keyboards are seriously well used. On the guitar side, it is not big heavy, but what becomes interesting is that Göran Nikolausson has greatly refined his playing and his techniques. "I know that You are there. From now on You live in me. I look at Heaven, and I pray: Oh Lord, wipe away my sins. I know that You love me. I know that You care about me." Very good guitar solo, very melodic.
With "I'll Be There", CHARIZMA goes in for the tenderness that characterises our three white metallers with the angelic faces. Synthetic intro, raspy vocals, and saturated guitars; the chorus is another potential success. Good job from the bassist Bosse Nikolausson. The theme of the song is lived experience: CHARIZMA's tours separate him from his girlfriend (who a few months ago became his wife!!): "I wake up at night, and I think of you; I wonder whether you can sleep. May God protect you. I miss you..."
An excellent demo which proves that CHARIZMA, without making too much noise, is preparing an album that will leave more than one of us flat on our backside!! For you, the sweet-toothed lovers of hard-confectionery!!
