One of the best unsigned thrash bands has another custom tape release, and it shows continued growth and change. Vocalist Glenn Johnson brings the band closer to a death metal sound than before, while the rest of the band shreds through these six songs with a flurry of speed and tightness, as "Image of Deception" comes off as a musical tip of the hat to Believer (how many other bands can do that?) with its relentless time changes and Kurt Bachman-like growl. The epic-length song "Sayings of the Wise" covers a lot of ground and features some killer lead guitar excursions. This rhythm section keeps getting better and better with every tape released. For those wanting names to go with the music, the rhythm section is: Rob Ojeda on bass, James Chaves on guitar, Ashley Lawhon on drums and vocalist Glenn Johnson playing guitar as well.
