On first glance at the name Crimson Glow, I wasn't too interested. But now I wish I had paid attention to this band when I was right there nearby - they played right before Aeturnus at the Michigan Mosh Fest May 27th. This band does have the Quicksand / Nudeswirl thing down. Although a bit derived, it's fairly original. But since this is a four song "teaser" demo, it remains to be seen whether or not they could pull off a whole album of fresh music that doesn't get redundant after the first 4 songs. Since C.G. sticks to the hip formula through the whole tape here, I wonder if their creativity & imagination can match their ability & talent beyond 10-15 minutes. This is stripped down, memorably groovy, low ended, noise rock with lots of effects on the vocals.
