This disc kinda reminds me of Charlie Peacock or Mad at the World most of the time - well, a bad attempt at it anyway. Often when the chorus would come in it reminded me of a crazy Daniel Amos or Swirling Eddies. He writes an OK verse section musically, then it usually falls apart in the chorus, especially with those awful guitar solos (!?). "What's Eating You?" reminded me of Ugly Kid Joe. Ugh! "What I Can't Say" is self-revealing, "In my head my speech is so profound, but it doesn't sound so great out loud". Sean pretty much knows how to write a song, but it's all kinda just - well, boring. If you like it mellow, simple, and dog dooky in the fur problems entertain you, send Sean Thomas Eugene $10.
