Wings of the Night

Heaven's Metal #44November/December 1993
This may be the biggest band in Christian music physically, but they lack the muscle musically. The style is somewhat dated - like classic European metal. Maybe if these tunes came out about 10 years ago, this review would be more favorable.
The first song "Wings of the Night" sort of has an Ozzy feel to it, but doesn't quite reach the mark. There are some nice melodies in the song. "Fire in the Sky" would probably fit in the ballad category. It is predictable at times. "Angels Call," the last song, has a nice guitar intro to it, but the chorus lacks the punch to keep this song tempting to the ear.
