In my time at DEAD, I have never given a review below seven. Read below to find the reason for the low review of this cd.

In the last couple years Deuteronomium has been a band that has impressed me with their diversity and presence. Tribal Eagle was one of the first christian metal cd's I purchased, and i loved the low vocals and the sheer power and speed they had. Then, Street Corner Queen was released and a whole new side of the band was exposed. "Spell of Hell" in particular was such a brutal black metal track and is still one of my favorite all-time songs today. Though the reggae track was a bit different, the differential in the tracks was a great thing, and I enjoyed most of them.

Now, on to the present. I bought this album at Cornerstone this past summer, and was incredibly psyched to hear it b/c Cross Rhythms Music released an ep with "to die and gain" from the new album. It was a sweet song, and I was really excited to hear how much Deuteronomium had grown and matured to this album. I expected a black metal assault, and enough speed to knock me out. Once home, I popped the disc in, and listened to the first song, and was excited because it was cool thrash. However, as soon as I realized that the first song never ended, and drug on for 37:11 and 13 songs worth. Others may find this album appealing, but after Street Corner Queen, I was mighty disappointed to say the least, hence my low review. I hope that in the future, they don't take criticism to heart (the reggae song on SCQ), and just make extreme music again.

HM Magazine #78Reviewed by Doug Van PeltHere's a misleading image - a nice big hog (motorcycle) picture on the front of the new Here To Stay album by Finland's Deuteronomium. Anything but biker music, though... These guys tear it up with tight, classic-metal influenced hybrid metalcore stuff. The drumming and guitar lead playing are just absolutely killer. These guys have been at it since '93, creating extreme death metal and mixing…Art for the Ears 1999Reviewed by Marco PovervestA long, long time ago, it was 1993, I first heard about Deuteronomium. A metalband from Finland was something new to me and thus my attention was attracted. A criminal, hardly readable logo showed what I could expect: Deathmetal. I listened to the demo Paths Of Righteousness and I decided to buy it. It was really deathmetal with vocals of Manu Lehtinen and Miika Partala. Anno domini 1999 these…The Phantom Tollbooth 1999Reviewed by Josh SpencerMany accused Deuteronomium of inconsistency on their last album, noting how they jumped from black to melodic death to alterna-thrash to groove metal. No chance of that this time. They've picked the easiest-to-play sound in their repertoire--groove deathpunk ala mid-90s Napalm Death and Carcass--and slammed out a new album less than a year after Street Corner Queen. They actually call it "death…HM Magazine #73Reviewed by Doug Van PeltEarning the biggest tongue-twister for a name category, this Finnish outfit also comes to the plate with some credible hard music. They mix hardcore fury with thrashy and death metal guitars and some grungy low end to produce a unique 'n' heavy sound. Occasionally the vocals will come screeching out a la black metal style. Fans of Cradle of Filth, Embodyment and Zao will probably be into this…
