all right let's start by saying This Might Sting a Little by Disciple is an OK album. It has a lot of groove, a little rap-corish and modern. This band has a unique sound. Their style is along lines of Pantera meets Limp Bizkit meets Guardian. It is cool in its own way, but I didn't like it too much. It was cool, but just not the coolest.
This trio is a modern metal/glam sound band. They play well, and they sound great, but I just don't like it too much. Anyone into rap-core and groove/thrash would say so too. The singer/bass player does a lot of cool stuff when he is playing. There is minimal screaming and no growl. The guitars are the element of the band that actually kept me in my seat. He plays rough thick, driving riffs and solos here and there.
The drums are good and on beat. The drummer uses a lot of double bass in this album. He solos often and gets a lot of recognition by me and by most of you who own the album.
In the end I give this album a 6, it was productive but it was just too glam for me.
6/10

Then there are those special albums that seem good, yet unassuming on first listen. But, after repeated plays,…Similar sounding releases
