Take a group of friends from New Jersey and throw in a ton of talent and you get Element 101. Fast and talented. This group of musicians have an aggressive approach to their instruments.

I am amazed at the drum beats Nick Acocella is pulling off. He is so fast. Danny Papa and Chris Mizzone (both guitar) compliment each so well. I love to hear the different levels they play on. Sal Ciaravino carries a strong, bold bass line. His solo is carried off with such ease. His style of boldness is something that is welcomed in this style of pop this band wants to play.

Crissie Verhagen has a pretty voice. It's a little too pretty. It stays on the same level throughout the entire CD. She sounds like she could have a dynamic sound, but wants to stay with the sweet little girl voice, because it's comfortable. Her voice lends the Bubble-gum, Betty and Veronica sound to the band, which is a deterrent to the awesome talents of the musicians of the band.

This is a well-produced band (courtesy MxPx's Mike Herrera). The musical talents of this band are phenomenal. Maybe Verhagen's voice will grow on me.

    Other coverage for this album

Art for the Ears 2000Reviewed by Marco PovervestThis is a female fronted punkband. Future Plans Undecided is their Tooth & Nail debut. The twelve songs here are poppy punkrock tunes. Vocalist Crissie Verhagen sounds a bit thin and fragile compared to the energetic beats of the drummer and the fanatic guitars. It's something I have to get into. But it has to be said that the music itself is great and when you like or get used to those fragile…Decapolis 1999Reviewed by ConradThis band played their very first show opening up for my band many moons ago. And boy, they've come a long way. They've got a lot of potential. If they can come up with catchier melodies, I'm sure they'll kick butt. I'm looking forward to how they progress. C+Decapolis 1999Reviewed by MarkElement plays a tight female fronted MxPx/Lagwagon-ish style of punk without sounding like those bands. The overall sound quality has improved from their last CD with the help of first time producer Mike Hererra (of MxPx). The only turn off was the singer's voice. Her melodies are catchy but she sings way too soft for their style of music. With some vocal improvement, this band could be on their…Decapolis 1999Reviewed by ToddJersey grown girl pop punk. Some try to call it rock n roll, but it sounds like traditional punk stuff. Like Homegrown with girl vocals. It's very enjoyable though. I really liked 'Kids these days' and this is a great follow up. C+Decapolis 1999Reviewed by TimI like these guys, d gal. The music is very tight and melodies are semi catchy. I'm going to buy this CD for my girlfriend. I think all girls will like it, and most guys will too. B-Decapolis 1999Reviewed by TomThis is the second full length release from this melodic pop punk band from New Jersey. In my opinion this release shows major improvements from their first full length "Kids These Days". The novelty of this CD is that it was produced by Mike Herrera from MxPx, but there is so much more to this CD then the fact that it was produced by someone famous. I have a feeling we are going to hear a lot…
