This is a very beautiful CD. Wonderfully bittersweet, shockingly touching; this is a concept piece that grows more and more personal with each listen I give it.
Damnation (Ride the Madness) is part one of a two-part series that is, in essence, Eva O.'s life story. Damnation chronicles her slide into and embracement of witchcraft and Satanism, and her eventual rebirth in Jesus Christ. The latter part is touched on the last song on the disc, "Stand Before The Light", with the majority of this CD mostly focusing on her B.C. period. Which means, there might be many, clueless as to the nature of the project, who will question the nature of the CD, and the artist herself. However, like all great works of art, it should make you think. And Damnation is just that: an album you don't merely listen to, but experience. Although all the cuts need to be played in chronological order for maximum impact (as many concept albums do), my favorite cuts here are "Panting For Love", "Blood Lust", "Ride The Madness", and "Stand Before The Light".
This is for fans of the Shadow Project, Saviour Machine, and Christian Death. . .

What makes this album difficult is the same reason it was not picked up for US retail distribution in the…Similar sounding releases
