I was extremely impressed with the debut release from hardcore/new-metal band Evergreen Terrace. Losing All Hope Is Freedom is a great disk and needs to be heard. This band is raw and way too cool to pass up. The guitars are thick and funky and the bass rips on this one. The drums are very normal for a hardcore/punk sound. And then in certain times this band does this Korn thing. The only thing that I didn't like a whole lot was the vocals. Sure I thought they were tight, but after a while I got annoyed and well you get the point. I did dig the background vocals and how they mixed with the growl/gargle vocals. The album was pretty balanced, not too long, then again not too short. It was really great and the message was tight. My favorite tracks were "Tevis Sux" which was really cool even though the title is a little weird??? Then I love the final track "Sunday Bloody Sunday" which was amazing musically and vocally. The message keeps you grounded and thinking.

In the end I gave this album a 9 because it is bad!! I advise you readers to buy this album, if not you will have lost all hope, and you will not be free!

HM Magazine #92Reviewed by Earl CampbellDavey Quiggle's understated illustration skills jumped up yet another level for the cover art of Evergreen Terrace's Losing All Hope is Freedom full-length. And the hooky tuff-guy hardcore with metal riffs and double pump action drums (don't ask me, I'm just as confused, but for real . . . very catchy songs . . . weird) enclosed is not slouch, either. Definitely a band to watch for. Even their…Dead Zine 2001Reviewed by Hey YouFrom the opening sound clip, to the closing song, this CD captivates the listener. It is an intricate web of creativity, and brutality. Of course, the first clip is from The Matrix, so it has to be good. Not to mention the intermittent clips from Fight Club (another really awesome movie). The last song is a great cover of U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday. If the first and last songs have these kind of…
