This new album by Few Left Sacrifice oh wait I mean Living Left Standing... oh wait I got it now, Few Left Standing, , released on TakeHold is a conundrum in itself. Do you like Living Sacrifice? You may like FLS, then again you might not for the INSANE likeness FLS has to LS. Maybe Bruce Fitzhugh (producer of this album) upon hearing this band and their sound extremely akin to his band and decided to produce it so everyone would overlook the LS comparisons. Alas, can't get away from me so easily.

When I first heard this band I seriously thought Bruce was singing (and as you may know I do vocals in my band so I can recognize many vocalists pretty easily) but to my surprise it was not him. So down the road I pick this CD up at TOMfest (at which FLS played). After listening to it numerous times the LS comparisons are not AS significant but are still there in abundance. Though don't let that seem like this band isn't good because they are, very good.

They are a very good straight ahead metalcore band with power and feeling pouring forth from the speakers. And with lyrics like "Satan we rebuke you, In the name of Jesus Christ, slither away on your belly, before heels hit your head, spineless coward" you can't go wrong. And NEVER I repeat NEVER will an Evil Dead sample make an album worse. You know now that I think of it an Evil Dead quote grants an album a perfect score no matter the music cause that movie is just that good.... I better change that rating to a 10......

For all those old metalheads they do do a better version of Psalm 23 than Deliverance... only this is called "Restoration"

The layout looks good, another Kris McCaddon job, but looks peculiarly like Fear Factory's Obsolete. Anyone else notice this?

The rating would have been higher but for the LS comparisons (I'm sorry) and even the production sounds immensely like Reborn. Don't let that stop you from buying this CD if you are a metalcore fan. I do recommend it just don't expect ground breaking metal.

    favorite tracks: Scourge, and Restoration

HM Magazine #86Reviewed by Aaron WreckinthangsProduced by Bruce from Living Sacrifice, this is another solid release. It definitely has that Living Sacrifice feel, like the Reborn album. It's not exactly like it, it definitely has its own feel, as these guys are great musicians. The guitars are heavy and brutal and the vocals are sharp and convicting. I saw them live, and they were awesome. It sounded a lot like the CD, so if you get the…Dead Zine 1999Reviewed by FletchIf you're like me, you wore out the new Zao cd after playing it nonstop for a month and found yourself asking, "Where did all the good metal go?" I'm proud to announce that I have found the answer to our question - Takehold Records. You know that Underoath blew you away. Now Takehold is back with another great release. This time the band is Few Left Standing from Memphis, TN. For a band who has…
