Atrocities, labeled by Julio as "too personal to release by The Lead," is recorded (or should I say "mastered") in a rough manner than Final Absolution, but contains more frantic, out of control riffing. "Never be the Same" has a killer thick riff, that would be a perfect Rap/Thrash tune if the vocals were delivered that way. Due to Julio's experience, these songs are pretty well structured. It's pretty diverse. In the context of its genre, it's good. In the context of major releases of straight-ahead Metal, it strikes one as inferior.
