This is a fun album! It gives me another reason to kick myself for missing Cornerstone '91. Recorded before a wild crowd of thousands in Bushnell, Illinois, the Pig is finally captured with the energy and drive that only the Pig can deliver. They obviously had a good time recording and performing this concert, and you'll have that fun duplicated in your own soul by hearing it--and wishing you were there, like I do! From the faint "Green Acres Theme" opening, you know this is not your standard live tape. The audience singing along breaks through with Kosher singing "Take a Look at Yourself," and the Pigs keep squealing through "Hey Punk," "Smash the Guitar," and "I Scream Sunday," but after "Isaiah 6," Kosher delivered the most powerful convulsive repentive prayer that is so real, it brought this writer to tears the first time it was heard. I didn't think "Rock the Casbah" should have been on the tape, since it is a secular song, but it did prove that the Pigs can cover past hits quite nicely, and this will no doubt pave the way for them to have a #1 hit song ("Piggie, Piggie"). The world is like an Ice Cream Sundae, it will melt someday--so you better get this tape, and have a good time with it while you can. If you do, you'll scream--next Sunday. This will probably soon get mainstream distribution, but to get ahold of it right away, write for ordering info at: Impetus Events, PO Box 8144, Ft. Collins CO 80526.
