Julio Rey of The Lead's latest two projects are head and shoulders above his King James and the Concordances project a few years ago. First of all, Julio's lead breaks show flashpots of brilliance--fast 'n' furious. Volume One of the two projects, titled Final Absolution has a majority of the good mosh music of the two. In songs like "Friends in the Skies," the double bass drums (machine??) get going!!! It does get to be a chore to review this material, because it's a full-length album of poor sonics and hardcore mixed with Thrash. "The Human Reich" goes on forever, sounding at times like Slayer. The riff per capita count is highest in this cut. For the curious: The Lead is not broken up; just tied up and taking a break.
