Do you remember where you were the first time you heard The Lead? I can still picture myself in that little laundromat in Joplin... At that time there weren't millions of extreme bands. The Lead quit back in '91 while guitarist vocalist Julio Rey kept on with different projects, finally acquiring Alex A. on drums & Marc Golob on bass to round out Frank's Enemy. Continuing in The Lead's core/speed footsteps & Julio's funky punk influences the 2 new guys add some jazz/death/industrial to the mix. Making for an interesting sound. It's really kind of a progression from The Lead but more speed & less hardcore. Julio is as crazy as on some of his side projects which adds some more originality. Good production & creativity but maybe a little too crazy for today's pop punk culture. Lead & speed freaks, buy.
