East West has picked up Baltimore Maryland's noisy band, Candy Machine. Yet another for those with an ear for the more edgy tones. Similar to bands like locals Molly McGuire or Season to Risk by way of discordant guitars. And once or twice the angst of Perry Farrell & the rock of a rap-perless Beastie Boys. But forget comparisons here which only hinder by way of confusion. Without being able to translate most of these 16 cuts, "Spotlight" seemingly indicates looking at what the spotlight did for Bob Barker & Robert Tilton. It's one of the cooler & very rhythmic songs alongside "Collectors", "Apples", & "Rotodome". "Procession" describes the confusion of a relationship with a Jekyll & Hyde, while the guitars & drums almost go their own ways. This disc is just a bit chaotic & wonderfully noisy & has cool photography.
