The first thing I thought of when I listened to this was, "This sounds a lot like the Flaming Lips," and that thought continued through the CD, which isn't a bad thing. I really like the new Flaming Lips record. Although the production quality on this isn't all that great, the songs themselves are well-written and interesting. I'm not sure if I'd buy this, only because I don't listen to a lot of this type of music, but I do have some friends that I'm going to play it for.
