Johnny Spreen
Untitled release

Here's a tape that shows the raw talent of Johnny Spreen. If you like the feel of most of the David Gilmour/Pink Floyd stuff (minus the mega-production), you'll love this. This 3-song tape is a rough, rough mix that's missing a final mix, but that doesn't hold back this man's talent. It's there. The poor fidelity fits the mood of the music anyway, kind of like well-worn leather. The lyrics are insightful well-written: "Hey, hey red, white and blue; stars and stripes, yeah you/ Sin soaked cursed land/ seems to me it's getting out of hand/ Your lust for sin and sex and drugs will drown you/ The hate, the wars, the lies, the death/ will surround you." - "America".
