This band from Southern California has it together (and any group that mentions "Heaven's Metal Mag" in their special thanks can't be all bad).
Vital Statistics: 8-song tape; and 3 band members. They are: Rod Van Beek on lead vocals, guitars and keys; Joe Hardy on drums; and Doug Dameron on bass.
The style of music is rooted in Southern blues metal with a thick, bassy, 38-Special guitar tone.
Besides being a great vocalist, Rod's good old rock 'n' roll leads are a welcome change from the Steve Vai imitators.
Basically good Christian lyrics with an occasional upfront creativity (reconciliation is the ministry to the world that we've gotta bring).
If there is a weak spot on this tape, it would be the song "Amen". The chorus here just doesn't work. But the bright spots make this almost unnoticeable.
The ballad, "The Light", is one of the best songs I've heard on a custom project.
Overall, Jordan can be very proud of their tape and, at $6, a lot of people worldwide will soon share in their music.
