This Texas trio have been playing their burgeoning TX scene, and touring nationally, for five years with artists like Pedro, Camden, and Hot Water Music. Their new full-length on Pluto Records is called "Heartstrings," and is a solid example of indie-pop sensibility meeting emotive persuasion. Their colorful, chiming, sometimes ruckus guitar bridges bring to mind Seattle's Wes Dando and Tacoma's Nobstreater (R.I.P.). Their explosive, climatic choruses can hold their own with the likes of Appleseed Cast and Brandtson, and have a polished rock feeling that distinguishes them from the herd of warblers, almost in that same Sunny Day-U2ish sense as like Mack, the Coffeeman (Movies with Heroes). Interesting lyrics, too.
