The Close are an Atlanta based band that play a lush brand of indie rock that's both strikingly familiar and refreshingly fun. Darkroom Dodger features Theresa Fedor's light vocals which are haunting along side Brook Meek's own moody vocal delivery. Code of Ethics is a more upbeat number that shimmers amidst a soundscape of jangly guitars and tightly executed drumming. The music is amazing but the definite highlight is the dueling vocals showcased throughout the record. With this being only their second release, The Close is exhibiting more musical chops than most bands with triple the back catalogue these days.
