NOFX is back with their 10th full length to date. Nothing too new here, but definitely quality punk rock. Just a note to those who are not familiar with NOFX, they are not only known for their great punk rock albums, but they are also known to have very dirty mouths. This CD is no exception to that rule. Some of the songs are the most foul you have ever heard from NOFX, yet it's also one of the tightest punk rock albums you will hear.
They stay away from all ska parts this time and pretty much bring us a straight up punk rock record. Probably the best song on the album is "Dinosaurs Will Die" in which they come down pretty hard on major record labels. "I'm gonna raise my glass above my heart then someone shouts thats what they get for all the years of hit and run, four all the p**** broke bands on VH1 where did all their money go? Don't we all know parasitic music industry as it destroys itself we'll show them how it's suppose to be."
Probably the most hilarious song on the album is, "Thank God It's Monday", a song that those of us who work or go to school Monday through Friday could not relate to. "I like a 5 day weekend I gotta year long holiday...the only place I gotta be is at the show or on the first tee." The life of a rock star....
If you're a fan of NOFX then I would definitely recommend getting this album, for it definitely is one of their best albums yet. Long-time fans of the band will probably appreciate the closing track, "Theme From a NOFX Album".
