What's new? Well Obituary has always kept it simple. Dead-on death metal. The single & disc opener "Don't Care" is real stripped down but easily catches you with the hook. The second & title song carries over some of the drum sound some of you (fortunate ones) have heard on the Meathook Seed album. I don't know if I'd go so far as to say this is the next step or a continuation of what you dig in Obituary. Yet, while staying true to their sound, World Demise has a bit more rhythm & uses a few new production tricks & sampling. Though not real innovative, it gets it done well, well-done.
