This ground-breaking punk band from Austin, Texas has seen better days; and the re-release of the historic A Christian Banned proves it. Thrown together in 1986 by four eager young lads bent on touching the thriving 80s punk scene with the Gospel, raw and aching screams come flying out of the first track, "6," which remains the band's greatest song ever. "Blow & Go," is another early Jesus punk song that reeks with that aggressive purity of expressing idealistic young hearts with passionate, fast music. "Life's A Bomb" and "Make Me Burn" showed a funky and melodic side (respectively) that the band later experimented with as it became one of cCm's first pre-packaged punk bands (by the time they hit Myrrh Records in 1990). While the band has long made this album (originally released only on vinyl) available on cassette tape, this is the first time it's been on CD.
