Ok, Jayson Sherlock decides to leave Mortification & ends up drumming for Paramaecium--wise move. Straight up, you dig death/doom metal? Buy this first. Absolutely! The opera vocals, strings & flute only enhance, so some of you may even appreciate this more here than on Believer's jazz influenced Dimensions. This is very doomy & moody yet not too drawn-out even though the shortest of the 7 tracks is 4 1/2 minutes long. And "The Unnatural Conception in Two Parts, the Birth and the Massacre of the Innocents" clocks in at 17 minutes. Total disc time is 66:05. Influenced by some of the best, I hear a bit of Unleashed & Cathedral music and Morbid Angel vocals. The production quality is perfect. Probably one of the best doom recordings ever. Crank it & quake in your boots.
