Prophecy
[demo]

When I got the impressive promo pack and CD from Prophecy, I said, "Hey, here's a band that's taking themselves seriously. I bet they're hot." I am sorry to report, but they should've kept working in the garage to get a more tight and refined sound before investing in the production of CD's. The guitar tones are very thin and the vocals lack confidence and passion. The album overall has a tuning problem. Songs like The Battle have decent ideas, but come off with a sound crossing the old Orange County alternative sound (Fourth Watch) with a slowed-down-to-16 RPM Metallica--without the wall of crunch, mind you. If you wanna get tuned into these guys, ask them to get in tune. You'll both enjoy it next time around. To order, send $10 (plus $2 shipping) to: 22406 Salmeron, Mission Viejo CA 92691.
