Godsent Humans
Liberty or Death

Could you believe it? They have released their national project. This band has been playing Southern California for as long as I can remember. Awhile ago there was Sunday night concerts at Church of the New Order, which the bass player is pastor of (Biker James Rasmussen). Biker James has worked his band hard, playing with many other national and local acts. Godsent Humans were always a great time to mosh. They kept the energy up and moving the whole show. If you like to drive with the music blasting, then this thrash release is possibly for you. I say not "totally for you," for some others like it because it jams and others don't care for all the writing of the songs. The outlook I have for Liberty or Death is: play it loud and keep yourself moving. If you wish to stop for a rest, dig into the track Fallen Sister. The song deals with a person who is living in sin and how the main character is praying for her life. What was best with this track is that it can make you see the light that possibly is there for someone in your life whom you should be praying for. The songs like Liberty or Death talk about how you can have a lot but if you lose, it's death. "Who'll save me from this body of death/Give me liberty or give me death...Christ is liberty, or you're dead!" Yes, choose Christ or nothing else will fill the void. The lyrics to me are enjoyable once you dig in. Musically, they have grown a lot and have kept their energy. Overall, a good release with just enough to put you in the pit. Keep moshin'.
