With a name like Psychotic Wallpaper, one wonders if this band can be taken seriously. Musically, the band can play a tight metal number, but the guitarist can't seem to dial in a tone that's appealing. This coupled with the shoddy production sonics overall make listening to this tape a chore in trying to ignore the sonics. The best riff comes in "Fields of War," but weak vocals keep the song from winning. This band appears to have energy and attitude. The lead off track, "Point of Death," sounds like Dave Mustaine sitting in with One Bad Pig in the garage, yet recorded with a cheap Radio Shack jambox.
