Figuring out how to start a review can be pretty impossible sometimes.
Anywho, these guys are pretty good. They pull off the whole shoegaze/indie rock thing really well. Maybe even a little too well. The Ride and My Bloody Valentine influences are so apparent at times that these fellas could probably be mistaken for a cover band to an untrained ear. "Song and Dance" in particular is almost ridiculous in its blatant mimicry of the Loveless sound. Now this doesn't exactly ruin the album, or even come close for that matter. Most of the songs are still solid and enjoyable, albeit wildly unoriginal. Once Run Run Run finds their own unique and creative voice, they are really going to turn some heads. I'm pretty eager to see if they can get things ironed out by their first full-length. Until then, if you want to feel like it's 1991 again, pick this one up.
