I believe if Metallica and Zao could have a child together it would be Still Remains. They are a metalcore band, but they are somewhat different from their peers. Their music is less based on heaviness and brutality, and more on clarity and melody. They have very defined guitar work and there is some piano work and singing thrown in there (which can be annoying or downright horrible with some metal bands but it fits nice in with this band). The recording quality isn't really lacking anything but honestly the sound isn't really my thing but I can respect and dig what they are doing.
