The Power

The Power is a five song demo from a New York duo comprised of Robert Carlton on guitar and Sheryl Ellenburger on keyboards and vocals. The recording and playing are professional quality, with most of the music being basically acoustic ballads, "The Only One" being the real exception. The title track suffers from amateurish songwriting, while "Salvation" suffers from trite lyrical construction. The thoughts are good. Presentation needs improvement. Sevenfold are professional musicians in regard to their skills, but need to make some big steps in developing their songwriting abilities to move to the next level.
