An outreach of Youth, Inc. Ministries, SpinAround's unique pop sound, which reflects such diverse influences as dc Talk and David Bowie, is a combination of hip-hop, funky dance grooves, soulful R&B and modern rock. Hailing from Evansville, Ind., most of the band members came from broken homes and have a special burden for the kids at their shows, evidenced by their concerts and extensive follow-up ministry. At press time, they had wrapped up a new indie CD and were getting ready to showcase for some record labels.
