Of the several tapes I had in front of me, I chose this one first. It was the "produced in the garage" look that got me. The sound is almost punk, but not quite; definitely alternative - let's say "unique". The production is in desperate need of salvation. My "produced in the garage" observation seemed to be a righteous judgement. The lyrics are forward and creative and have a redeeming quality. This is not for you headbanger, no lead guitar and no crunch. Let me give a word of encouragement here: Has anyone ever heard Petra's first album?
