I have always felt that if The Commercials could get it together vocally, they would be capable of a lot as a band. On "20 Years Tonight," they have it together vocally. This is a very, very quality release and their best as a band. The Commercials have always been tight musically, and this album is no exception. The band has garnered one of the stronger grassroots followings in Central Pennsylvania through a typical punk rock attitude: booking their own shows, playing out as much as possible, and most importantly, putting out a quality product. With this album, I expect that following to grow.
If you like relationship-core, emoish punkcore indiecore, then The Commercials will work very nicely in your music library. This record is on par with some of the "big names" in this particular genre of underground music. It is that good. Unfortunately, this style does not get much play on my list, which is not this band's fault at all. The Commercials are a good band and this record should push them to the next level.
