Elliott's first full length, "U.S. Songs" is one of my favorite releases in this "emo" genre. This EP on the other hand is kind of weird. In that I mean it doesn't really seem to flow. Some of these songs were recorded back in 1996 while the other songs were recorded in 1999. In the first two songs frontman Chris Higdon's vocals seem to be covered up. He has a great voice but the production just seemed to cover it up. The production on these first two songs just really take away from them. They almost sound as if they were pre-production demo's as opposed to real deal. The thing I didn't really understand is that these were the two songs that were recorded in 1999 for this EP. Actually this release was originally released as a 7", the CD format just added the extra songs that have already been released. This is definitely a great band, don't get me wrong. I guess I just can't wait for their new full length thats all.

Decapolis 2000Reviewed by ConradEmo. This albums is pretty much what you'd expect from a good emo band. Standard emo vocals and the guitars stay away from holding out emo chords in favor of more melodic guitar lines. The songs are decent. The tempo ranges from slow to mid tempo to some that are more upbeat. The more upbeat ones interested me more (I'm not one for slow stuff). Musically it's all there.
