Eudora is a retrospective collection of songs from the Get Up Kids first six years as a band. A collection of previously unreleased, rare and alternate tracks from the past. Everything from covers to original material it's captured here on this release.
Not really too much to review here. For those of you who like the Get Up Kids you probably are already familiar with this release. If you're not familiar with the Get Up Kids...well I'm not really sure what we can do about that. If you've found Decapolis then most likely you have at least heard the band and have formed some kind of an opinion on them.
Let's see...as far as covers go you have "Suffragette City" by David Bowie, "Close to You" by the Cure, "Regret" by New Order, "Beer for Breakfast" by the Replacements, "Alex Eiffel" by the Pixies, "Impossible Outcomes" by The Metroschifter, "On With The Show" by Motley Crue and "Burned Bridges" by Coalesce. So as you can see there are quite a few covers on this release, actually just about half the songs are covers.
The rest of the songs are either from 7" records, demo recordings or just non-album versions of various songs records for various different reasons. If you're a tried and true Get Up Kids fan you will want to be sure to add this to your collection although you probably already have a majority of these songs in some recorded form or another. With the way the Get Up Kids seem to be changing their sound you might want to pick this one up just to treasure that good old Get Up Kids sound. Or if you're interested in just having all or at least most of the Get Up Kids recorded cover songs then Eudora would also fill that fix.
