I know I'm going to suffer a bit of ostracizing from certain other staff members, and a few readers (if not Julio Rey himself), but as much as I respect his articles and evangelical mindset, Burn This Record just doesn't cut it for me. The production level is sophomoric, the vocal delivery is strained, and the musicianship is a sludge of indiscernible riffs and blast beats that, combined with the sub-par production level, comes off as little more than white noise.
I'm trying my best not to come off as a conceited jerk (whoops, too late there). I do think the lyrics are well thought out and written, especially "Internal Pain", "To The Ends Of The Earth", "Kill Satan Mosh" (gotta love that title), and "Empty Sepulchre". I am aware of those who mention The Lead as the band that helped them make the decision for Christ Jesus. But I can't help but wonder if The Lead was one of those great live bands that never translated well to tape.

This joke came as a result of the Pig playing with The Lead this fall in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they noticed Julio's affection for loud, screamin' guitars.…Similar sounding releases
