if you were hoping for a new p-chain album to chomp on this is not it. this is one to swish round for a while and get a good taste before you swallow and digest. (yes, i am eating right now.) it takes a while for this disc to get going "humb" the opener seems to take forever. i would say this is a bit more mellow than the previous one. it makes you wonder if their tour with starflyer 59 has influenced them that much. "grylliade" is a great lil' song though not picked by road dog for a single. "bendy line" and "manta ray" are my personal picks for this one. "manta" with vocals by caryn colbert and a starflyerish mood is simply beautiful. "bendy line" is just as nice. just as with all other p-chain albums it's a very hard album to describe stylistically but rest assured it's a treat.
