Any band that makes a concept album about pirates is begging for attention. The Thriftshop Junkies' Dead Men Tell No Tales is speed punk-pop with vague ska/reggae intonations and lyrics about sailing the high seas and searching for buried treasures. In all seriousness, the T-Town, WA band is a somber, stoic thrift core band. Thrift core is the art of shopping like a cheapskate, of course, and actually has nothing to do with music, but grab your skateboard and goof off with the Thriftshoppers.
