Here's an 8-song tape by a young band out of Kerrville, Texas. There's some good ideas and aggressive sounds here, but they weren't translated on tape well--like the hook in "Wicked Tongues", which suffers from bad guitar tones, or even the hammer-on solo starting "Not A Drug?" The arrangements feature some unimaginative and predictable chord phrasing, especially in "God Bless The Children"--showing that Trial has a lot of growth in front of them. The best part of the tape is the good, edifying messages, like the chorus of "Rejoice in trials!" that is shouted with gang vocals to bring the point home.
