Vital Iron
Warriors Sign of Victory

Out of the stack of tapes I was given to review, I enjoyed this one the most. Vital Iron, another band from Florida, has put together a very strong tape with "Warriors Sign of Victory." It has 10 songs and all are great! It was produced at Huff Recording Studios in Mississippi. In fact, Clayborn Huff, bassist for David and the Giants played on this tape. Nine of the songs are very much metal, with lots of time changes, thunderous drumming and shredding guitars. The musicianship is great. There's only one mellow tune: Lord, You're My Strength, which is a beautiful song about how God will always be there to comfort us while we go through trials. The only negative thing I found was the vocals. There are two vocal credits on this tape, but I honestly couldn't tell the difference. There are some great screams, but the vocals go flat at times. This is a good tape. If the vocals can improve, this band could break easily out of the underground and be an example for others to follow.
