This follow-up to last year's self-titled project succeeds in further defining this skilled artist. Guitar virtuoso Dennis Cameron has put together another competent lineup, but the best thing about this release is the songwriting. Each song is consistent with the other. This doesn't all sound like carbon copies, but as last year's release fluctuated too much with good, fair, and poor hooks; this release stays at a high level through all ten songs. The new vocalist, while not a Rob Rock, is no slouch either. He fits right in with the commercial style of the music. "Harvest", the obligatory instrumental here, is one beautiful, melodic masterpiece that floats the listener down a stream of thoughtful notes. The lyrics on the album seem to be personal reflections of Dennis' walk with the Lord, allowing Christians some tips on finishing "the race." Check out "Bring Into Being": "...Gotta live by what I've read/ I want to see a little part of my destiny/ Custom fitted and blue-printed in harmony/ Bring into being/ the dream that I kept seeing..." A good follow-up for Angelica, who is quickly becoming a force in melodic metal.
