This five-piece band are going after a metal sound that isn't too far from a Girlschool or a Barnabas sound. You guessed it, they sport a female lead singer - who does a good job. The songs seem to be written to cater to her voice, which is why I like Arsenal better than most other female-singing metal bands. Often one of these bands have music that seems to be written for the low, growling voice of a male and ends up being sung by a female lead singer. The metal here is pretty strong. The guitars and drums stay active with a straight-ahead metal sound. The three songs here are pretty fast and each contain some decent leads. Arsenal is: Christine Scott on vocals; "Joshua" Miller on lead guitar; Wayne Scott on rhythm guitar; Dave "J.D." Roestler on bass; and "Sparky" Donahue on drums. You can write them @ 2230 Nursery Road #I-108, Clearwater FL 33546.
