Craig's debut blues album is an 11-song collection of truly hot, authentic blues a la Stevie Ray that was produced by Mike Varney of Shrapnel Records (whose roster has included Tony MacAlpine and Vinnie Moore). One big difference between this project and several other of Shrapnel's guitar hero albums is that: One, this one's blues and not neo-classical riff-blazing metal; and Two, the tunes here are real songs with real vocals. Although not an up-front evangelistic album, per se; these tunes have lots of allegories and metaphorical imagery about the challenge of living in this world as a believer. The thing I like best about the sounds of Erickson's blues is that it's spiced with Southern boogie rock.
