This album is a pleasant surprise imported from Sweden via R.E.X. With little to no advance buzz coming out before this album (save for a little bit of talk from friends in Sweden), Veni Domine became an instant "new face." The band shreds. Most all the songs are of the 7 minutes in length variety. The band shreds. The music here is another project that takes the heaviness of Iron Maiden and mixes it with the operatic vocals and dynamic sounds of Queensryche (like Sacred Warrior and Haven). In fact, this similarity to the fore-mentioned bands is Veni Domine's only weak point. The band shreds. The lyrics are taken almost entirely from the Bible--specifically the book of Revelation.
