Seventh Avenue is a fledgling metal band with musical style and talent--and a need for musical maturity. The rhythm section and guitarist provide the distinct emotional element so apparent in their songs. However, the vocalist seems to fall short in the emotional aspect of his presentation of the songs, thus leaving the listener a bit disappointed. Their lyrics are agreeable, but not exceptional; and although they do have a variety of speeds represented on this demo, the songs of like speeds tend to sound the same and even predictable at times. Each song is emotionally captivating and, as a whole, Seventh Avenue offers a sound relatively new to the Christian metal genre--a sort of German sound reminiscent of the mid-80's. By concentrating on their strength of presentation and striving towards musical maturity, Seventh Avenue has the potential to be a Christian metal music success.
