Every once in a while, out of the tons of tapes that I get the honor and blessing of reviewing, comes a band that really stands out among the others. Lookout is such a band. While not as heavy as their first three-song demo, "Degenerate Society," really shows off the lyrical maturity that this band has. "Parasites," is a tune that combines three stories into one theme--that of hurting people who need the love of Jesus. "Akeldama" is based on Acts 1:18-9, and "Animal Magnetism" talks about many going down the wide path of destruction through false religion instead of heeding the call of the narrow path. I can only think of two or three bands that I have reviewed that should be signed. Add Lookout to that count. I really look forward to a full length tape from this band, and I hope it's soon.
